On May 5, 2026, the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors will conduct the first reading of a draft ordinance amending Chapter 15 of the Santa Barbara County Code and the Fire Department’s fee schedule.

The May 5th meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the Board Hearing Room, 105 E Anapamu Street, Santa Barbara, CA, 93101.

The draft ordinance replaces the previous Chapter 15 amendments, as the enforcement Code in all areas within the Santa Barbara County Fire Protection District, and all other unincorporated areas of the County where the Santa Barbara County Fire Department is the authority having jurisdiction.

Amendments to Chapter 15 will be effective on June 11, 2026, and the Fire Department’s fee schedule will be effective July 13, 2026.
