SANTA BARBARA, Ca. – On the 22nd anniversary of September 11, 2001, we pause to reflect upon a day that forever altered our nation’s history. Beyond the immediate devastation, countless lives were forever changed by the events of that day. We remember not only those who were tragically taken but also every individual whose life was deeply affected.
On September 11th at 9:00 a.m., the Santa Barbara County Fire Department will observe a moment of silence and lower the flag at all of our 16 stations. This solemn act honors the lives lost on 9/11 and recognizes the enduring pain of families, friends, and communities left behind. We extend an invitation to the public to join us at any of our fire stations, standing in unity and remembrance.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department deeply appreciates and welcomes the community’s support and attendance during this poignant commemoration.
